Background & Rationale:
Restiveness among youths has become one of the global phenomenon and those in Nigeria has been on unprecedented increase, now spilling to the children. There has been a proliferation of unrivalled violence, rape, drug/alcohol/sex abuse, pornography, prostitution, cultism, kidnapping, militancy and wanton destruction of the environment, valuable infrastructures as well as lives and personal properties. The lack of adequate skills, tools and knowledge to assess risk and manage situations and emergencies in an informed and objective manner has resulted in retardation and poor orientation which has plunged our society into the quagmire of problems and violence that are realities of our present day.
